Our Beautiful Big Outdoors / Attractions and Tours / Sundown National Park

In the remote and beautiful Sundown National Park, the Severn River winds its way through mountainous trap rock country of sharp ridges and plunging gorges. Eucalypt forests on the higher northern slopes give way to the woodlands of Caley’s and silver-leaved ironbark, tumble-down red gum, white box and cypress pine in the south. Walks range from formed and maintained tracks to more remote hiking trails. The best time for walking is during the cooler months from April to September. Camping is permitted in the park.
