The capital of the Darling Downs region, Toowoomba is the gateway from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast to the western downs which is currently experiencing a resources boom.

Toowoomba is an easy 90-minute drive west from Brisbane by car or coach, with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and other regional Queensland locations.  Jet capable Wellcamp Airport opened at the end of 2014 with QantasLink flights from Sydney and Airnorth from Melbourne connecting Toowoomba nationally. Regional Express provided flights to regional locations within Queensland Centrally located at the gateway between the city and the country, Toowoomba is also easily accessible from the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast.  More about location and getting here.
