The Streets & Lanes festival in Toowoomba over the Easter Weekend gets bigger every year. A community organised event, the local churches and small business offer their spaces and give time and money to arranging buskers, stages, markets and animal farms around the city to the delight of kids and adults all under the banner of Streets & Lanes Festival.

Downtown Toowoomba was packed on Easter Saturday with people appreciating the many buskers, shopping at the local craft market stalls, dining in the many cafe and restaurant options and generally enjoying the great weather and street art always available in Toowoomba.

Now in it’s 3rd year, Streets & Lanes is a nod to the iconic Easterfest festival that brought life to Toowoomba over the Easter weekend for many years and describes itself as a “Festival to fill Toowoomba’s CBD with music, art, drama, food and any other creative means to express a “Celebration of Life”.”

Hopefully we continue to see this event grow with local support to be bigger and more creative every year!
