Welcome to The Darling Downs, Queensland

We live and work and play under a big sky in the greater Darling Downs region, reaching from Queensland’s premier wine region, the cool-climate Granite Belt in the south, to the sun-drenched South Burnett with its own flourishing wine and food scene in the north. The region extends west in an arc from Goondiwindi to Chinchilla and is haloed by spectacular sunsets reflected in the live-giving network of limpid rivers, dams and creeks. This is the high country at its very best!

Get up close and personal with our stunningly beautiful outdoors and wildlife, tackle some of the many spectacular National Parks trails – get your mountain bikes out – or simply kick back and enjoy the peace.

Toowoomba is the second largest inland Australian city. Home to a vivid music, café and restaurant scene, many of them in laneways tucked in alongside century-old landmarks, Toowoomba is loaded with theatres, galleries, great shopping and glorious parks and gardens. Explore the First Coat art project – one of Australia’s most prominent regional arts projects. Artists from around the world have created a walkable gallery of street murals in the heart of the city.

Let us show you what we mean by a big sky – a far horizon and true high country hospitality. Fly directly into Wellcamp Airport, Toowoomba, or turn on the music and enjoy a scenic drive from Brisbane, just 90 minutes up the range.
