Restaurants / Dining Guide / Soban House
Fiery, fabulous and nourishing Korean cuisine has made its debut here in the heart of Warwick where sizzling bulgogi – a dish of beef sliced then barbecued - has earned its place as a red hot favourite on the Soban House menu.
Owners Minhwa Jeon and her husband Youngjin Park, who also have Warwick Sushi in the Rose City Shopping World across the road, are assisted in the new restaurant by their friend In Hee Jeong, a Korean film director, who also lives in Warwick and who they met after moving here.
Soban House also has Japanese influences with crowd-pleasing dishes such as chicken katsu appearing on the menu, and a range of sakes on the drinks list. Try the Korean snow plum liqueur, Seoljoongmae, with its delicate floral and marzipan nuances and signature plums in the bottle.
Finish on a sweet note with matcha green tea ice cream.
