Hello day three and wow is Goondiwindi on fire or what!?

The streets are bustling, and our breakfast café, The Larder is absolutely pumping. The beautiful Melissa is at the helm of a bevy of busy beauties, great coffee, toasties, granolas, and a bomb of a chia pudding with fresh fruit and yoghurt. I am not a sweet breakfast lover, but I could not stop eating this bowl of loveliness.

The Victoria Hotel is grand and gorgeous and makes a stately impression. The fire is on when we line up for lunch giving the pub a cosy feel on a chilly day. We order the signature dish their Bundy rump and their big burger. It’s the sort of pub where you will meet locals, have a chat and stay an extra day, but sadly, we had to go.

We finish our day at the The Laurels of Chinchilla where we have a photoshoot at Charley’s creek, by a fire of brigalow coals. We drink wine with our hosts and new friends and have some laughs, tell stories and discuss good times to come.
