Our Beautiful Big Outdoors / Attractions and Tours / Carrol Nature Reserve Kokoda Track
An oasis of native bushland close to the centre of Kingaroy. Descendants of Dan and Bridget Carroll, Kingaroy’s earliest settlers, donated the use of these five-acres of soft wood vine scrub to the people of Kingaroy. A plaque and gateway honours those died defending Australia in the Pacific Islands. Bird species in the area include the Indian Koel, Dollar Bird, Rufous whistler, Rufous Fantail and the Eastern Whipbird.
