Lake Apex is part of the natural wetlands, which support a wide range of plant and animal life. Cattle Egrets flock to the area for the breeding season between October and March and the islands provide safe nesting places. Spend some time in the bird hide or take a walk around Lake Apex and you may see some of the 153 species of birds recorded in the area. Facilities include toilets, children’s playground, BBQs and shelter.
